Power System Analyst

Due to further growth, we wish to recruit a Power System Analyst.
The role:
To work within the Electrical System Design team providing technical analytical support for both onshore and offshore wind farm electrical power systems. Duties will include:-
Development of wind farm electrical power system models using industry standard simulation packages such as DigSilent and PSS/E
Development of wind turbine models for steady state electrical design studies
Perform electrical design calculations and studies for load flow, short circuit analysis, voltage regulation, transient analysis (switching and over-voltage), harmonic analysis and system losses
Implementation and development of dynamic wind turbine models for power system stability studies
Perform dynamic studies for evaluation of Grid Code Compliance such as fault ride through, reactive power compensation and voltage control
Preparation of technical documentation to support the electrical designers
General electrical support
The person:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience of distribution and transmission power system network steady state, dynamic and transient analysis methods
Ability to work to demanding timescales and manage workload effectively
Current UK driving license
