Wind Farm Performance Analyst - UK
UK BASED (Kings Langley)
RES is operating a large number of wind farms in the UK and overseas, and the analysis of wind farm and turbine operational data (SCADA data) is crucial to validate and improve our energy prediction methods. To carry out analysis of RES’ wind farm operational data that can be applied in the production estimate of future projects we wish to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team.

Duties will include:
The analysis of wind farm and turbine operational data such as energy production, wind speed and turbine availability data;
Comparison actual generation and pre-construction energy production estimates and their validation.
Translating the findings of generation data analysis into methods that can be applied to improve RES’ energy prediction process and reduce uncertainty;
Liaising with Operation & Maintenance teams as well as Technical and Engineering staff in the UK and world-wide;
Assisting with technical issues in the development of wind farms, both before and after construction. .
The following is essential:
A degree or equivalent in physics, mathematics or an engineering discipline;
Computer literacy, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office components especially Excel and proprietary database packages, eg Microsoft Access;
Eliglible to work in the UK
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
The following is desirable:
A clean driving licence;
the ability to spend periods of 1 or 2 weeks away from home, either in the UK or overseas;
experience in the analysis of wind farm operational data or experience in the field of wind energy yield prediction.
