IET Powering Net Zero Week 2024: Join the Global Engineering Conference Shaping a Sustainable Future

Birmingham, UK – Powering Net Zero Week 2024, a global engineering conference, will be held from October 22-25, 2024. Organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), this event aims to bring together engineers, planners, and innovators to address challenges and explore solutions for achieving a sustainable, net zero future.

Following the success of its inaugural event in Glasgow, Powering Net Zero Week is moving to Birmingham for 2024. The conference will feature a new hydrogen stream, recognising the vital role of hydrogen in the transition to a net-zero economy.

The four key themes of the conference are Renewable Power Generation and Future Power Systems, Energy Storage, Hydrogen, and EVI: Charging Ahead. With over 120 industry thought leaders and expert speakers, attendees will gain insights into the latest advancements in these fields.

The conference will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, tutorials, technical visits, and poster presentations. It will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, collaborative discussions, and networking among professionals.

Topics covered will include renewable power generation technologies, network planning, power demand and storage, and policy formulation. Attendees will also learn about energy storage, circular economy, hydrogen applications, and electric vehicle infrastructure.

In addition, the Excellence and Innovation Awards will recognise ground-breaking innovations in engineering, science, and technology.

Powering Net Zero Week 2024 offers sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, allowing organisations to present their brands, products, and services to a highly engaged audience.

To be a part of this event, professionals are encouraged to submit paper abstracts or session proposals by May 3, 2024.
